20 years ago my story with BMW began with a 2001 Alpine White 325ci that my wife dreamt of. Over the years I wanted to find an extremely clean M3 that would match my non M. It took me years to find this mint, Concourse winning, February of 2006 production Alpine White M3 with a factory 6 speed manual and cinnamon interior with piano black trim and no prior accidents/paint work. I decided to store the car in a climate controlled environment under a rodent proof car cover hoping that one day I can pass it on to my kids and it will be worth a fortune.
I am long time BMW CCA member and during the storage time I enjoyed the car on short PCH drives and put about 2k miles during an almost 8 year ownership. I mostly focused on e39’s, e60’s, f10’s and recently f90’s. During the pandemic I got involved in a side real estate project that pushed my decision to sell the M3. However, as many of my friends know me, I am very anal about my cars and do a lot of preventative maintenance. I began to prepare the car for a sale and it started with doing a rear subframe reinforcement.
The kit was purchased from Bimmerworld. The Subframe and diff bushings were also replaced at this time along with the driveshaft bushings. In the last 8-10 months all of the following were replaced as well due to the car sitting. There was no expense spared with this car.
Everything in the car works as expected and it runs very strong. Serious buyers with deposits are more than welcome to do the PPI and drive the car. This machine feels like a 1 year old car rather than a 17 year old automobile. The car has not been driven in the rain. The last three ownerships were all in California. Couple owners that appear in the history are dealers that purchased the car for resale.
